Helen O'Bryon, 85, enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and cake decorating

Helen O'Bryon, (nee Walls), age 85, of Lorain, died on Monday, July 29, 2002 at Mill Manor Nursing Home, Vermilion, following a long illness.

She was born on April 23, 1917 in Pisgah, West Virginia. She moved to this area in 1955.

Helen graduated from Kingswood high school, West Virginia in 1934, and attended Morgantown Business College for two years, graduating in 1936.

Helen and her husband owned and operated East End Grocery at Terra Alta, West Virginia for many years.

Helen was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Amherst, where she has held almost every office in the church at one time or another. She was an avid reader, and loved cooking, baking and cake decorating.

She is survived by her daughter: Doris Feher, of Lorain, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Odis Odair O'Bryon, in 1987, son: William Lee O'Bryon in 1984, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain and also from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2002 at Amherst Church of the Nazarene, 210 E. Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Rev. Richard Henry, Jr., pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Par, Amherst Twp.
