Allen A. Pelton, 70, woodworking enthusiast
Allen A. Pelton, 70 of Lorain died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 30, 2002.Mr. Pelton was born on September 11, 1931 in Amherst township and lived his entire life in the Lorain area. He attended Lorain High School. Mr. Pelton was a US Air Force veteran.
He was a member of the Christian Temple in Lorain, a volunteer at Life Share Blood Band, and was an active volunteer of 2nd Harvest Food Bank. He was also a scoutmaster for Troops 350 & 431. He was a retired industrial photographer for Lorain Products with 30 years of service.
Mr. Pelton was a woodworking enthusiast, loved to roller skate and adored his grandchildren. His aspiration in life was living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara K. (nee Raesler) Pelton, sons; Warren M. Pelton of Homerville, OH, Michael H. Pelton of Vermilion, OH. He also had 5 grandchildren, and brother Charles Pelton of Lorain and his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Pearl (nee Herman) Pelton and a sister, Norma Toth.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Thursday, August 1, 2002 from 4-7 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and announced by the funeral home.
