Guerilla Lewis, 61, Enjoyed Collecting Baskets
Guerilla Lewis (nee Whitehead), 61 of Wakeman, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 in EMH Regional Health Center after a sudden illness.She was born June 11, 1941 in Manchester, Kentucky and has been a Vermilion area resident for the past 37 years moving from Manchester.
She enjoyed collecting baskets and knickknacks, spending time with her grandsons, and traveling to Kentucky to see her family.
Survivors include her husband Milton Lewis, Jr., of Wakeman, mother, Edna (nee Abner) Whitehead of Manchester, KY; 2 sons, Sammy Joe Lewis of Vermilion and Dan Lewis of Berlin Heights, 3 grandsons, Andrew, mason, and David, 5 sisters, Burnette Fishback of Carmi, IL, Kawannah Hixon of Pensacola, FL, Patty Campbell of Manchester, KY, Pam Deel of Manchester, KY and Sherry Smith of Manchester, KY, 1 brother, George Whitehead of Pensacola, FL and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, Renus Whitehead in 1979.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 4, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, August 5, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend John D. Hood, pastor of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
