Kathryn M. Giedlinski, 94, Vermilion resident since 1940

Kathy M. Giedlinski (nee Klepek), 94 of Vermilion, died Thursday evening, August 8, 2002 at Kingston of Vermilion, after a lengthy illness.

She was born November 8, 1907 in Vintondale, PA. She has been a Vermilion resident since 1940 moving from Cleveland.

She worked for 24 years as an inspector for General Industries, Elyria retiring in 1969.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and St. Francis Xavier Mission Circle. She was a member of the 3rd Order of the St. Francis Vienney in Lorain.

Several nieces and nephews survive her.

Preceding in death were her husband, John M. Giedlinski on October 3, 1969; 3 sisters, Josephine Klepek, Mary Klepek, and Rose Klepek; 4 brothers, Michael, John, Joseph Klepek, an infant brother and her parents, John and Josephine (nee Jasinska) Klepek.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. conducted by the Altar Rosary Society.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion with Father Steve Blum officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
