Marion Clyde Branham, 72, Enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren

Photo of Marion Clyde Branham Marion Clyde Branham, 72 of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 8, 2002 in Community Health Partners West, Lorain after a sudden illness. He was born January 7, 1930 in Floyd County, KY and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 23 years moving from Lorain.

He worked Construction for Ready Mix, Lorain and had worked for other construction companies including Charles Akers, a foundry in Wellington, and a mining Co. in Kentucky.

He was a member of Sonshine Baptist Church, Lorain, and Local Labor Union #758. He enjoyed Sunday drives, walking, horseshoes, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren, and children.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Shirley (nee Kidd); Son, Marion Allen Branham of Amherst, OH; Daughters; Janice Marie Tolson of Virgie, KY and Gerry Gean Marker of Grays Lakes, IL, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 1 Brother; Freeman Branham of Honaker, KY; Sisters; Draxie England of Pikesville, KY, and Betty Rosso of Sheffield Lake, OH.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Oliver and Mary Frances "Cricket" (nee Sword) Branham, 2 brothers; Jerry Branham and Shadrick Hall, and 3 Sisters; Ethel Falbo, Lexie Akers and Ollie King.

Friends may call Wednesday September 11, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH 44089.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Internment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, Avon.
