Angel Roldan Sr., 73, Enjoyed playing Pool
Angel Roldan, Sr., 73, of Lorain, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain following a lengthy illness.Born June 24, 1929 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, he lived in Youngstown and Cleveland before moving to Lorain in 1963.
He worked for the Ford Assembly Plant, Cleveland. He was a member of the United Autoworkers Union 425. He enjoyed playing pool.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Carmen (nee Cortes); 7 sons, Angel Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Alberto of Louisville, KY, Ramon Luis of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, William of Lorain, Manuel of Oberlin, David of Lorain, and Edwin of Elyria; 2 daughters, Gladys Molina of Arecibo, Puerto Rico and Anna Hoyte of McAllen, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 1 great grandson, brothers, Jose Roldan, Daniel Roldan, Rafael Roldan, and Heriberto Roldan all of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and Juan Roldan of San Juan, Puerto Rico; sisters Ramona Roldan and Juanita Roldan, both of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Ana Maria Matos, of Avon Park, Florida and Carmen Maria Roldan of Brooklyn, New York.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Ramona (nee Feliciano) Roldan, a brother, Antonio Roldan, in 1999 and a sister, Victoria Roldan.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 14, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Luis Santiago, pastor of First Spanish Baptist Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will be Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
