Paul Richard Baggs, 70, enjoyed home improvements, carpentry, and especially gardening flowers
Paul Richard Baggs, 70, of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at his home in Vermilion after chronic heart problems. He was born September 18, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio. He had been a long time Vermilion resident moving from Reynoldsburg, OH.He worked as head custodian for the Vermilion schools and had worked for Bible Literature International, Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the Vermilion Alliance Church, (Chapel by the Lake). He enjoyed home improvements, carpentry, especially gardening flowers.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha J. (nee McClure) Baggs; sons, Timothy Baggs of London, KY; daughter, Marsha Yost of Goshen, MA; 4 grandchildren; brothers, James Baggs of Columbus, OH, Thomas Baggs of Chancey, OH, Warren Baggs of Titusville, FL and a sister, Martha Stonner of Williamston, SC.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William Warner Baggs and Edith Mae (nee Hutchinson) Baggs, and 3 children, Ruth Ann Baggs, Dale Roberts Baggs and Mary Jane Baggs.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio at Grand Street, Vermilion, Thursday, October 3, 2002. The Reverends Douglas Yost, John Nevius and Mark Grosseheme, will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Friday at 11 a.m.
