David D. Bonnett Sr., 78, Enjoyed his CB radio, and watching baseball and football

David D. Bonnett, Sr., 78 of Elyria died on Sunday, September 29, 2002 at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria, OH following a brief illness.

Mr. Bonnett was born on September 1, 1924 in Grafton, WV moving to this area in 1952. He was a graduate of the Fleming West Virginia High School. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He retired as a crane operator in 1986 from US Kobe Steel in Lorain after 33 1/2 years service. He enjoyed his CB radio, and watched baseball and football.

He is survived by his daughter, Marjorie J. Burress of Lorain, his son, David B. Bonnett, Jr. of Elyria, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bonnett is preceded in death by his wife Martha L. (nee Stewart) Bonnett on April 2, 2001, his parents William and Birdie M. (nee Bender) Bonnett. Other survivors include his brother Clarence Bonnett, Sister Hazel Moyer, and his half-Sister Ella Siagel.

Funeral services will be held on October 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Lori Bandagski officiating.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH on Thursday, October 3, 2002 from 7-9 p.m.

David D. Bonnett, Sr. will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
