Harold H. Koppenhafer, 89, Born in Brownhelm
Harold H. Koppenhafer, 89, formerly of Norwalk, died on Sunday, September 29, 2002 in Morro Bay, California after a 10-month battle with cancer.Mr. Koppenhafer was born in Brownhelm but moved to Norwalk at an early age. He graduated from Norwalk High School and attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he earned an engineering degree. He had been living in California for the past 60 years.
Mr. Koppenhafer is survived by his wife; Constance (nee Seymour), daughters; Janet, Martha, Christine and Lyne, also by a sister; Helen Jacobi, of Fillmore, California and a brother; Arthur of Amherst. Other survivors include a niece, Barbara Mayberry and a nephew Harold Mayberry, in California, niece Gayle Rodriguez, of Amherst and cousins; Chris Koppenhafer, of Sheffield Village and Merle Koppenhafer, of Vermilion.
He was preceded in death by his father; Henry, his mother; Corabell (nee Hoag) and sister; Ada Irvin, of Elyria.
A memorial service was held at Baywood Park Community Church on Thursday, October 3, 2002 with Pastor John Tiffin, officiating.
