Dorothy Mary Dombrosky, Lifetime Amherst Resident

Dorothy Mary Dombrosky (nee Kontavich), a resident of Amherst, passed away Monday, October 7, 2002 at Allen Medical Center, Oberlin following a brief illness.

She was born in Amherst where she was raised and has been a lifetime resident.

She was employed at Amherst Manor Nursing Home for 20 years, retiring in 1984 as a nurse's aid. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst where she also served on the Altar & Rosary Society, the Catholic Golden Agers, the Lorain Regional NEEW, and the St. Joseph Benefactors Society.

Survivors include her sons, David J. Dombrosky of King, North Carolina and Don A. Dombrosky of Amherst, five grandchildren; and her sister Eve Sadowsky of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Alexander Dombrosky in 1983; and by her parents Adolph and Anna (nee Blisses) Kontavich.

Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph Catholic Church; 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst. The Rev. Fr. George Vrable, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.

The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of Lisa Dombrosky; 401 Tomahawk Dr., Maumee, OH 43537.
