Katherine Mateskovich, 100, Enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting and Bingo

Katherine Mateskovich (nee Matotek), 100, of Lorain, died Sunday, October 13, 2002 at Lorain Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 25, 1902 in Kotoriba, Medemurge, Yugoslavia and had resided in Lorain since 1920.

Mrs. Mateskovich was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church where she had been the oldest living parishioner. She was a member of St. Vitus Altar & Rosary Society and a past member of the Croatian Fraternal Union #136.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and bingo.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann Crnko and Mildred Bozicevich, both of Lorain, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1956 and parents Steve and Katherine (nee Ludos) Matotek.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain where the Parish Rosary will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a 2:00 p.m. funeral mass at St. Vitus Catholic Church, E 32nd Street and Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Simon Nekic, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
