Charles E. Reynolds, 68, Enjoyed Fishing and Camping
Charles E. Reynolds, 68, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph Residential Center in Lorain, following an illness of several weeks.He was born on December 3, 1933 in Beaver, Kentucky and resided in Lorain for over 50 years.
He worked in the No. 3 Seamless Mill, Hot End of Lorain Works U.S. Steel, retiring in 1993 with 41 years of service.
He was a member of Pleasantview Old Regular Baptist Church in Litchfield and United Steel Workers Union Local 1104.
He enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Leona, two sons: Frederick of Lorain, and Charles Michael of Willowick, daughters: Theresa Taylor of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Melanie Spare of Balground, GA, two stepsons: James Randall Williams and John W. Williams, both of Lorain, a stepdaughter: Geri Lynn Howard, of Lorain. Other survivors included seven grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, brothers: Ronnie Dean of Betsy Lane, KY, Larry of Celina, Tenn., Wendell of Albion, Michigan, Glen of Jackson, MI, and Donald of Springport, MI, sisters: Loretta Reynolds of Grand Rapids, MI, Mabel Hamilton of Springport, MI, Fay Finister of North Olmsted, OH, Pauline Newson, of Elyria and a step-mother, Edith Reynolds, of Springport, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Nannie (nee Jones) Reynolds, 2 sisters: Augustine Cooper and Imogene Turner, 3 brothers, Emmit, Danny and Wallace.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Pleasantview Old Regular Baptist Church, Beat Road at Spieth Road, Litchfield, Ohio. Elder Larry Newsome, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is in charge of arrangements.
