Wilma M. Taddeo, 56, Enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics and her grandchildren

Wilma M. Taddeo (nee Shippe) age 56, of Vermilion and formerly of Lorain died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a lengthy illness.

She was born October 23, 1945 in Lorain, Ohio and had been a resident of Vermilion for 5 years.

She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, in Lorain. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Laurie M. Mezlak of Lorain, and Michelle L. Critelli of Amherst, Ohio, 4 grandchildren, sister, Norma Ponorica of Lorain, and brother William Shippe of Sheffield Lake. She also had several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Sophie (Godziontkowski) Shippe and sister Margaret Louis.

Friends may call Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Prayer service at the funeral home Saturday at 8:30 a.m. will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain with the Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
