Martha Ann Langer, 71, of Avon Lake passed away Thursday, October 17, 2002 at her home following a lengthy illness (Alzheimer's). She was born December 14, 1930 in Cleveland and moved to Avon Lake in 1959. Martha was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Church an it's Ladies Guild in Avon Lake. She was also a member of the Catholic Knights of Ohio. She enjoyed reading, Notre Dame football, bargain shopping and garage sales, some light crocheting and fishing.Mrs. Langer is survived by her husband Albert, whom she married November 27, 1954; four daughters, Kathleen A. Mitchell (Terrence) of Avon Lake; Mary Jo McClure (Michael) of Avon Lake; Linda Griffith (William) of Lima an Susan Flynn (Barry) of Avon Lake; three sons, Martin Langer of Avon Lake; Paul Langer (Heidi) of Bay Village and Michael Langer (Heather) of Cincinnati. Other survivors include seventeen grandchildren; a sister, Jane Geideman of Rocky River and a brother Jack Adams of Bay Village; and an aunt, Margaret Wintering of Avon Lake. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Adams; a sister, Linda Schroeder and her parents, Marie Adams Robinson (nee Wintering) and her father, William Adams.
Family may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake from 6-9 p.m. Sunday. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake on Monday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. timothy J. O'Connor, pastor will officiate. Cremation by Busch Crematory.
