Carl Stanley Mezurek, 85, Local Produce Farmer

Carl Stanley Mezurek age 85 of Grafton Twp. passed away Saturday morning in Welcome Nursing Home after a long illness.

He was born Sunday March 18, 1917 in Eaton Twp., living in the Lorain Co. area all of his life.

He is a member of Belden United Methodist Church for many years. He was employed by General Industries in Elyria, then became a livestock dealer and operated Direct Fur Co. as a fur trader, and is widely known as a local produce farmer before retiring in 1995.

Mr. Mezurek is a member of Litchfield Masonic Lodge #381 for many years, and he enjoyed his work, and fishing.

He is survived by 1 Daughter Dianne Gott of Oberlin, Ohio, 1 Son Kenneth Mezurek of Grafton, Ohio, 7 Grandchildren & 11 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters Wilma Bouley of Grafton, Ohio and Betty Mole of Grafton, Ohio

He is preceded in death by his wife Doris in April 2002, his parents Stanley & Ceclia Mezurek and 1 son Carl in Dec.2001.

Friends may call in Belden United Methodist Church 36130 St. Rt. 303 in Belden Tuesday from 4:00 till 8:00pm with funeral services Wednesday in the church at 10:30 am with Rev. James Cake pastor off. Burial will be in Belden Cem. Grafton Twp. Family suggest memorials be made to Belden United Methodist Church.
