Josephine A. Jameson, 82, Enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family
Josephine A. Jameson (nee Pliszka), 82 of Wooster, formerly of Avon, passed away, Saturday, October 26, at the Smithville Western Care Center, following complications of a stroke. Mrs. Jameson was born November 29, 1919 in Oil City, PA and had lived in Avon since 1947 before moving to Wooster 3 years ago.Mrs. Jameson was a homemaker and had worked in the kitchen of the former Millers Restaurant, Avon, for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Avon. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
Mrs. Jameson is survived by 4 sons, James (Bronwyn) of Jersey City, NJ, Thomas (Anchi) of Madison, OH, Gary (Dianna) of Dalton, OH and Lance (Johanna) of Avon. Other survivors include grandchildren; Devon, John, Nina, Matthew, Jessica, Abby, Mark, Wayne, Andrew and Amy and sisters; Mary Leska of Lorain and Jennie Jenkins of Scottsdale, AZ.
Besides her husband, Wayne Jameson, of 49 years, she is preceded in death by two sister Angela Dombroski and Stella Mroski, three brothers, John, Joseph and Frank Pliszka and her parents, Stanley and Anna (nee Helenyak) Pliszka.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, Tuesday, October 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Wednesday at a 10:00 a.m., Fr., Arthur Egan will officiate. Memorials may be forwarded to the charity of the donor's choice.
