Anna L. Shaw, 77, Loved Music

Anna L. Shaw (nee Krieger), 77 of Lorain died Wednesday, October 30, 2002 in Kent Health Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born October 1, 1925 in Lorain. She moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1983 and returned to Lorain in 1995. She graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1943-B.

Mrs. Shaw was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was the church's organist. She loved music; she played the organ at home. She enjoyed playing bingo and belonged to a Scrabble Club.

Among the survivors are her sons William Shaw of Manassas, Virginia and Thomas Shaw of Lorain, daughters Nancy Sarlie of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sally Lopez of Lorain, Alice Newhausen of Valley, Illinois and Tamara Hack of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Mickey J. Shaw, her parents Adolph and Anna (nee Pankratz) Krieger, brothers George and Eddie Krieger and sister Elsie End.

Family services will be private. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio.
