Craig Thomas Lewis, 48, Plant Supervisor
Craig Thomas Lewis, 48, of Elyria, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a two-month illness.He was born July 12, 1954 in Cleveland and moved to Elyria several years ago coming from the Cleveland area. Craig was a 1973 graduate of the Westlake High School. He was employed 27 years a plant supervisor for N.U.P.CO. (National Utility Products Co.) of North Ridgeville and formerly of Westlake.
He was an avid Cleveland Indians Baseball fan, enjoyed the Cleveland Browns, playing softball, golf and pool and collecting American Indian Artifacts.
He is survived by his wife of three years, Melody (nee Cooper); two sons, Joshua Thomas and Ryan both of Grafton; a step-son, James of Elyria; his mother Betty Rose Lewis (nee Blackwood) of Denver, Colorado; a brother Gary Richard Lewis (Suzette) of Elyria; a sister, Sharon Rose O'hearn (Ray) of Denver, Colorado and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Thomas Lewis (1983), and a sister, Christine Elaine Halko (1974).
Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 633 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Billy Cooper, father-in-law and former pastor of First Baptist Church, no serving as pastor of Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Laurel, Indiana will officiate.
Private committal services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
