Elizabeth Tatrai, 86, Enjoyed Gardening and Sewing
Elizabeth Tatrai (nee: Andrekanic), 86 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Monday, November 11, 2002 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.She was born November 22, 1915 in Avella, PA where she was raised and lived in Pennsylvania until her husbands passing. She has lived in Amherst since 1991.
Elizabeth was a housemaker. She was a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Brownsville, PA and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Survivors include her sons: Norman Gasdick of Amherst and Vincent Gasdick of Fort Lauderdale, FL; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her brother Albert Andrekanic of McKeesport, PA; her sister, Helen Delphini of Romules, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Frances J. Tatrai, Jr., in 1990; her brothers Steven George Andrekanic; and her parents, Michael and Barbara Andrekanic.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's Cemetery in Brownsville, PA. The Rev. Father Gigliotti of St. Peter's Catholic Church will officiate. Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst is handling the arrangements.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of their choice.
