Raymond Paul Sexton, 64, Enjoyed turkey shoots, nature and gardening
Raymond Paul Sexton, 64 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2003 at his home following a two-week illness.He was born February 22, 1938 in Delta, Kentucky where he was raised. In 1959 he moved to Noblesville, Indiana. He has been a South Amherst resident since 1966.
He was employed at Ford Motor Corp., Lorain for 31 years retiring in 1997 as a dolly operator. He was a member of Cedarhill Baptist Church in Delta, Kentucky and enjoyed turkey shoots, nature and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Joyce Helen (nee Hardwick) Sexton; his son Robert Paul Sexton of South Amherst; his daughters Linda Sexton of South Amherst and Connie LaCook of Ravenna; his brothers Carl Sexton and Ozie Phillips, both of Kentucky; and his sister Opal Sexton, Zadie Samuel, and Sue Flynn, all of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Eliza (nee Kidd) Sexton; and by a baby brother and sister.
Funeral services will be at Hickey, Hoyt, and Son Funeral Home; 416 North Main St., Monticello, Kentucky; phone number 606-348-4231. Burial will be in Hardwick Cemetery, Wayne County, Kentucky.
