Elizabeth J. Borthwick Litzenberg, 86, Homemaker, loving mother, and member of Lakeland Women's Club, Girl Scouts, and YMCA
Elizabeth J. (nee Donohoe) Borthwick Litzenberg, 96, of Omaha Nebraska formerly of Lorain and Largo FL died on Friday, January 3, 2003 at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha, Nebraska following a sudden illness. Mrs. Litzenberg was born on March 10, 1906 in Lorain OH.Mrs. Litzenberg graduated from Lorain High School in 1924 serving as class secretary. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lorain. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma, Queen City Chapter of O.E.S. #66, Lake Erie Shrine #47, Past Mother advisor Rainbow Girls #8, served on Girls Scout council, she was a girl scout leader, Lakeland Women's Club, YMCA, and Spanish-American Gilmore Comp. Auxiliary.
Mrs. Litzenberg is survived by her devoted daughter, Carol Ann Daugherty of Omaha, NE., 3 grandchildren Linda (Rick) of AZ, Barbara (Kevin) of VA, Tom (Kris) of NC, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, loving nephew Dean Miller of CA and niece Marilyn Molnar of Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Borthwick and Emmett Litzenberg, parents Michael L. and Jane (nee Llewellyn) Donohoe.
Friends may call at Schwartz-Spence-Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Thursday, January 9, 2003 from 7-9 pm. Queen City Chapter of Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held on January 10, 2003 at 10:00 am in the Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH with Rev. Philip Kuntz, interim pastor officiating. Elizabeth J. Borthwick Litzenberg will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial park Cemetery in Amherst, Township, Ohio.
