Zachary Porter, 14, Enjoyed Football, Camping and Hunting
Zachary Dale Porter, 14, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 13, 2003 in Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital, Cleveland, after a short illness.He was born March 23, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been a life long resident of Vermilion.
He was a Freshman at Vermilion High School and was a member of U-Turn, a youth organization at the Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion. He enjoyed football, camping, hunting and riding his dirt bike.
Survivors include his parents, Edgar Harrold and Donna (nee Watson) Porter of Vermilion, 3 brothers, Eddie Porter of Tupelo, Mississippi, Chuck Krisher of Vermilion and Josh Porter of Vermilion; 2 sisters, Cindy Krisher of Vermilion and Michelle Charney of Amherst; maternal grandmother, Frances Watson of Vermilion; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Dale Watson in 1986; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Tessie Mae Porter and a sister, Kelly Krisher.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 15, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, January 16, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Dan Fonseca, assisting pastor of the Harbourtown Community Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
