Anthony A. Thomas, 1, Held great love in his heart for his sister, Barney, and the Wiggles

Photo of Anthony A. Thomas Anthony A. Thomas, 1, of Elyria Township, past away Monday January 27, 2003 at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland after a nine-month illness with acute Myeloid Leukemia.

He was born May 2, 2001 in Lorain and had resided in Elyria Township.

His love and interest in life first and foremost would be his loving beautiful five-year old sister Ashley then to be held and cuddled by Dad and to be taken care of and kissed by Mom. He held great love in his heart for Barney, the Teletubbies and the Wiggles, and most of all bringing joy and happiness to others.

He is survived by his parents Alvin S. Thomas, Jr. and Jami L. Bzdak, both of Elyria; sister Ashley N. Thomas of Elyria; maternal grandmother Angel Bzdak (nee Pruitt) of Lorain; paternal grandparents Alvin S. Thomas, Sr. and Judy Thomas (nee Ruiz) of Lorain; maternal great grandmother Betty Branscum (nee Goins) of Elyria, maternal great grandfather Theodore F. Pruitt and his wife Joan Pruitt of Tennessee; paternal great grandfather Ellis Thomas, Sr. of Elyria, paternal great grandparents Jose & Victoria Ruiz of Lorain, maternal great grandmothers Nettie Pruitt of West Virginia and Glada Goins of Virginia; godmother Cami L. Bzdak of Lorain, several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother Elizabeth Thomas (nee Edwards) and uncles Gregory Thomas and James Thomas.

The family will receive friends Friday January 31, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2003. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
