Lucile E. Stephens, 71, Talented home decorator, pianist, and church soloist
Lucile E. Stephens (nee Snook), age 71, of Avon Lake passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake. Mrs. Stephens was born August 4, 1931 in Akron and had lived in the Northampton/Cuyahoga Falls area for most of her life before moving to Avon Lake three years ago.She was a 1949 graduate of North High School, Akron. Before retiring she was employed as a licensed Practical Nurse for St. Thomas Hospital, Akron and also as a Real Estate Agent. She attended the Chapel at Fir Hill, Akron and was a talented home decorator, pianist and church soloist.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don M. Stephens; a daughter, Dawn E. (Stephens) Yanik (Denny) of Avon, a step granddaughter, Shaunti Yanik, a brother Frederick G. Snook, sister-in-law of Ron and Janet Lopeman and Paul L. Stephens, Jr. as well as aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her son, David M. Stephens (1990), her parents, Clarence H. and Anne E. (nee Kosner) Snook and a sister, Imogene Bartlett.
Friends may call at the Billow's Falls Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls Saturday, March 15, 2003 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm when a memorial service will be held at the chapel. Pastor Nute Larson of The Chapel at Fir Hill will officiate. Cremation handled by the Busch Crematory. Interment at the Northampton Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls.
