Larry Earl Green, 68, Avid NASCAR fan, loved being with his family, and enjoyed growing flowers
Larry Earl Green, 68 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.He was born October 15, 1934 in Kipton where he was raised and lived till moving to Amherst in 1952. He was a graduate of Camden High School in the class of 1952.
He was employed by Kopf Builders in Avon for over 30 years, retiring in 2001 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Club. Larry was an avid NASCAR fan, loved spending time with his family, and growing flowers.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Green (nee Pelton), his sons Kenneth E. Green of Amherst, and Kim A. Green of Nova, his daughters Tammy Koba and Pamela Shindler, both of Amherst, ten grandchildren, and his sisters Joyce Butler of Amherst and Linda Zucher of Henrietta Township.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Emma Green (nee Kennyon) and by his brother Keith Green in 1981.
Friends may call Friday, March 14, 2003 from 4-8 pm at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am from the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Eaton, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, South Amherst, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
