Margaret A. Sklarek, 63, Former Lorain Resident
Margaret A. Sklarek, age 63, of Falls Church, Virginia, formerly of Lorain, died Saturday, March 15, 2003 in Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC following a short illness.
She was born on September 21, 1930 in Lorain, Ohio where she lived until moving to Virginia over 40 years ago.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1957 and had worked for the local Navy Department.
Survivors include her mother, Dorothy (nee Bonk) Sklarek of Lorain, brothers, Ronald Sklarek, Jr. of Texas and Ralph M. Sklarek of Lorain; sisters, Rose Jacobs of Lorain. Irene Scanlon of Springfield, VA, and Carol Wright of Sheffield, many nieces and nephew.
Preceding her in death were her father Stephen J. Sklarek, Sr., and a brother, James T. Sklarek.
Friends may call Friday, March 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain Ohio.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
