Bonnie Jean Montgomery (nee Lockard), 69, of Lorain, died Sunday, March 16, 2003 in the Villa Angela Nursing Home, Columbus. She was born April 6, 1933 in Mingo County, West Virginia and moved to Lorain in 1956.She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lorain. Mrs. Montgomery was a former member of the Ladies Democratic Club of Erie County and enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, and bowling.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Linda Alberts of Spencer, West Virginia, Ruth Clawson of Spencer West Virginia, and Rebecca Deaton of Avon Lake, Ohio, two sons, David Montgomery of Avon Lake, and Freddie Montgomery of Lorain, 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Shirley Coleman of Columbus, Glenita Price of Wayne County, West Virginia, and Doris Pack of Delbarton, West Virginia.
Preceded her in death were her husband Robert Montgomery in 1989, parents Homer and Sarah (nee Smith) Lockard, four sons: Ronald, Homer, Michael, and William Montgomery, and two granddaughters.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 18, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at 11:30 am. The Reverend Dr. Linwood H. Chamberlain, Jr., co-pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Lorain, will officiate. Interment will follow in Brooksdale Cemetery, Elyria.
