Gloria M. Ledford, 68, Clearview High School Retiree

She was born November 26, 1934 in Lorain and had resided in Lorain most of her life. She was a graduate of Lorain High School.

Mrs. Ledford worked in the Clearview High School library for 20 years retiring in 2001. She worked the school concession stands during sporting events, was active with the school board and helped with bond issues.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain and the Clearview Band Boosters. She enjoyed crafts, boating, and camping.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Gerald Ledford of Lorain, daughter Lori Schmiermund of Lorain and granddaughter Kassey Schmiermund of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Ledford in 1963, parents John & Angeline (nee Scarpellini) Martin and sister Nancy James.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2003 from 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 1705 E. 31st Street, Lorain. The Rev. Paul Krajnik, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
