Mary C. Phillips, 96, Enjoyed needlework, home crafts, and crocheting

She was born February 4, 1907 in Brocton, NY and had been a Vermilion resident since 1970.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed needlework, home crafts, and crocheting.
Survivors include 3 daughters; Patricia A. Beursken of Vermilion; Catherine Rancka of Richmond, VA; and Rose LeClair of Virginia Beach, VA; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Sanuel Fote of Center Point, TX; 3 Sisters: Lena Tyler of Fredonia, MY; Mildred Allenza of Dunkirk, MY; and Josie Merriman of Charleston, SC.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Anthony and Catherine (nee Amalfi) Fote; 1st husband, Joseph Vandura, 2nd husband, Kenneth Phillips, 2 sons: Anthony Vandura, and Angelo Vandura, and 2 brother and 2 sisters.
Friends may call Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio where a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Prayers will be said Friday, March 21, 2003 at the funeral home at 12 N Following by a 12:30 Mass of Christian. Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Nelson Beaver will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
