Consuelo Villa, 64, Director of Alma de Mexico Dance Group

She was born June 7, 1938 in Malakoff, Texas and had resided in Lorain since the age of five.
Mrs. Villa worked at Woolworth in Lorain in customer service and at the Ford Assembly Plant in Lorain in part time assembly. She was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Lorain.
Mrs. Villa was the director of the Mexican dance group "Alma de Mexico" which danced at the Lorain International Festival for over 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Adam Villa of Lorain, daughter Vanessa Villa of Lorain, sons: Adam Villa Jr. of Amherst and Mario Villa of Lorain, 8 grandchildren, sister Olga "Nina" Carreras of Lorain, brothers: Antonio "Acu" Palacios of Lorain, Gilbert "Chito" Palacios of Avon Lake and Juan "Johnny" Palacios of Lorain and aunt Rebecca Diaz of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Evilia (nee Reyna) Palacios.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. The Rev. Thomas Smith, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
