Lois Elaine Burt, 74, Homemaker, enjoyed ceramics, active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst
Lois Elaine Burt (nee Wilson), 74 years of age, and a former resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Mill Manor Nursing Home, Vermilion, following a lengthy illness.She was born December 10, 1928 in Swampscott, Massachusetts where she was raised. She was a resident of Amherst for over 30 years before requiring nursing home care.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing ceramics. Lois was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Amherst, and served in the Altar Guild and Willing Workers.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Burt of New Hampshire and David Burt of Maryland, her daughters Debbie Varble of Dublin, Ohio and Lisa Cebull of Vermilion, 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild and her sister Jean Williams of New Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Eva Wilson (nee Wildes) by a brother and four sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 10:00 am at Scott Cemetery in Huron followed by a memorial service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 115 Central Dr., Amherst, with the Rev. Gary Bernath officiating.
