Loretta T. Pasternak, 73, Volunteer at Ohio Extended Care, enjoyed the outdoors, and being with family

Loretta T. Pasternak (nee Kuzak), 73, of Lorain, died Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Hearthstone Assisted Living at Lorain.

She was born August 27, 1929 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a Lorain High School graduate.

Mrs. Pasternak was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain.

She volunteered at Ohio Extended Care Center in Lorain and organized their exercise program. She enjoyed being outdoors, visiting with family and neighbors, and hosting family functions and activities in her home.

She is survived by her son Paul J. Pasternak of Amherst, grandson, Andrew P. Pasternak of Amherst, sisters Helen Stashick of Amherst, Dorothy Tomasic of Lorain and Anne Coyle of Amherst, brothers Ron Kuzak of Florida and Frank Kuzak of Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul P. Pasternak on April 16, 2000, parents Joseph and Mary Kuzak (nee Czarney), sister Clara Kruke-George and brother Andrew Kuzak.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 28, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 am in the funeral chapel followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 am at St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain with the Rev. James Batcha, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
