John "R" Miller Sr., 79, Carpenter

He was born Tuesday, July 24, 1923 in Utica N.Y., and was a resident of Eaton Twp for 48 yrs.

He is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church for many years. Mr. Miller is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII with the 78th Lightening Brigade, 1st Battalion in Germany. He is also a member of the Hinkson-Hysell VFW Post #3341 in Grafton. Mr. Miller is a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #11 of Cleveland.

Mr. Miller enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by his family.

He is survived by 2 Sons John R. Miller Jr. of Grafton, Ohio, James L. Miller of Grafton, Ohio, 4 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn in 1995, his parents John & Mary Miller, 3 sisters Jessie Trojan, Mary Jacksina, Victory Bszewski, 3 Brothers, Ed Roskoski, Vincent Roskoski, Frank Roskoski.

There will be no visitation and memorial services will be private and held at a later date.

Family suggest memorials be made to the American Red Cross in support of our Armed Forces. Blackburn Funeral Home 1021 Main Street, Grafton is in charge of handling arrangements.
