James E. Carrow, 87, Resident of Amherst for 82 years
James E. Carrow, 87 years of age, a former resident if Amherst and a resident of Ocala, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003 at Oakhurst Nursing Home in Ocala, Florida.He was born January 2, 1916 in Middletown, Ohio. He was a resident of Amherst prior to moving to Ocala, Florida five years ago.
He was employed as an electrician at Ford Motor Corporation.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Johnson of Ocala, Florida, Brenda Carter of Summerfield, Florida, and Cynthia Hillihen of Stow, Ohio; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters, Norma Lacey of Ocala, Florida, LeDonna Burgress of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Juanita Johnson of DeFunick Springs, Florida, Alice Johnson of Addica, Michigan, and Lola Fransworth of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Zetta Carrow on March 17, 2003; by his son James Carrow in 1970; and by his parents Sam and Bessie (nee Farley) Carrow.
Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
