Donald H. McCue, 88, of Lorain, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Autumn Aegis Retirement Community, Lorain.

Born October 10, 1914 in Lorain, he was a life long resident here. He was a 1932 graduate of Lorain High School.

Donald worked 38 years at Lorain Works US Steel, where for the last 28 years he worked as a foreman in the Galvanized and Butt Mills, retiring in 1972.

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, the United States Steel Management Club, a life member of Elks Lodge 301, Lorain.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching baseball, and watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Evelyn (nee Marsac), a daughter, Lois Shimoloens of Lorain.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur McCue, in 1967, and a grandson, James David Pry, in 1990, his parents, Harry C. McCue and Rose (nee Burgett) McCue.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Charles Henkle, associate pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
