Madeleine C. Schuster, (nee Glass), age 89, of Avon Lake, formerly of Lakewood, passed away from natural causes, Friday, April 25, 2003 at Bradley Bay Health Center, Bay Village. Mrs. Schuster was born, August 25, 1913 in Jersey City, New Jersey and moved to Lakewood in 1931 and to Avon Lake in 1967.She had worked as an office manager for Dairyman's Dairy and as a sales representative for American Greetings.
Mrs. Schuster was a member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, a member of the Church's Faith Circle and was an avid church volunteer. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Schuster of Avon Lake and William G. Schuster of Fairview Park, grandson Alex B. Schuster of Rocky River. Besides her husband Kurt J. Schuster, Mrs. Schuster is preceded in death by a sister Blanch Them and her parents, Charles and Ella (nee Engelbrecht) Glass.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, from 3:00-5:00 PM, Monday April 28th. Funeral Services will be at Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33199 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 1:00 PM. Rev. William Grant of the Church will officiate. Interment will be private in Lakewood Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Lake Shore Methodist Church or to the Charity of the donor's choice.
