Martha Grace Arthur, 70, Enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and puzzles

Martha Grace Arthur, (nee Boutin), age 70, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a sudden illness. She was born April 19, 1933 in Connecticut and moved to Elyria four years ago coming from Elkton, Virginia where she had resided for a year.

She lived in Avon most of her life and was a graduate of Avon High School. Mrs. Arthur was employed as a laborer for U.S. Steel in Lorain, retiring ten years ago after fifteen years of employment. She was a member of the Avon Lake Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and puzzles.

Mrs. Arthur is survived by two daughters: Dana Emery (David) of Elyria and Julie Bruce (Gene) of Elkton, Virginia, son Lorn of Cleveland, six grandchildren, two sisters, Rita Meyers of Wakeman and Marie-Claire Pegg of Port Orange, Florida, two brothers, Albert Boutin of Avon and Larry Boutin of Sheffield Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband Darwin (1998), and her parents Henri and Rose-Eva (nee Lecoure) Boutin.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon from 6-9 PM Thursday, May 1, 2003. Services will be held at the Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 3700 Center Rd. Avon on Friday, May 2, 2003 at 11:30 AM. Pastor Jamie Steward of the Avon Lake Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
