Theresa A. Michalski, Hobbies included interior decorating, and traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Windsor
Theresa A. Michalski (nee Zajkowski), of Lorain, died Thursday, May 1, 2003 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following an extended illness. She was born in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city.A graduate of Lorain High School she was employed as vice president and member of the board of directors of Citizen Home Savings. She retired in 1984 following 43 years of service with that entity.
She was a parishioner of Nativity B.V.M Catholic Church in Lorain where she was a member of the finance committee. She was also a member of the Lorain City Club, the Towne Club of Lorain, and the Altrusa Club. Her hobbies included interior decorating projects and taking trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Windsor, Ontario.
She is survived by her of 55 years, Felix (Phil), sisters Anna Siennicki of Vermilion and Sylvia M. Jaworski of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Mary (nee Ruminski) Zajkowski, and by sisters Martha Sobieski and Lucille Szmania.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel and will be followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 AM in Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave., Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor of the church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family suggests that memorials in Mrs. Michalski's memory to the Restoration Fund at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
