Margaret Erma Shlapack, 80, Enjoyed reading and spending time with family
Margaret Erma Shlapack (nee Jerkovich), age 80, of West Hills, California died Sunday, May 4, 2003 at Simi Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.She was born August 12, 1922 in Wadsworth, Ohio and had been a resident of Southern California for the past seven years, moving from Lorain where she had lived most of her life.
She was a graduate of Whittier Junior High School and Lorain High School.
Mrs. Shlapack worked at National Tube Company, Berger & Jacobs, and as a secretary for a prominent Lorain attorney.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Andrew Shlapack of Chatsworth, California, daughter Rebecca Paolantonio of West Hills, California, son David Shlapack of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, and brothers John and Steve Jerkovich, both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Shlapack on July 25, 1998, parents Peter and Julia Jerkovich and brother Peter Jerkovich.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Ave., Lorain.
