Milena M. Lyman, 78, Enjoyed garage sales, crafts, and being with family
Milena M. Lyman (nee Cucin), age 78, of Avon Lake, formerly of Toronto, Canada, passed away Monday, May 5, 2003 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was born February 10, 1925 in Kumina, Serbia, moving to Canada as a small child and had lived in Avon Lake since 1957.Mrs. Lyman was a homemaker, a member of Holy Spirit Church, the Church's Ladies Guild and Young Spirits. She enjoyed garage sales, arts and crafts, and sewing. She was described by her family as being very energetic and enjoyed surrounding herself with her family.
Besides her husband, Ralph, she is survived by sons: Daniel, Peter, Thomas, James, Andrew, and Paul Lyman, daughters Marie Freebird and Stefanie McAdoo. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren: Robing, Faith, Freebird, Samantha, Christopher, Mariesha, Corthec, Milosh, Brooke, Jacob, and Rebecca, brother Daniel Cucin and sister Amelia Kerman, both of Toronto, Ontario. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dragich and Helen Cucin.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Wednesday, May 7, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 PM and Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. Prayer service at the funeral home, Friday, May 9, 2003 at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church, 410 Lear Rd., Avon Lake at 10:00 AM. Fr. James H. Beatty of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Park Cemetery.
