Olga H. Riegelsberger, 96, Long-time Lorain County Resident
Olga H. Riegelsberger, (nee Forthofer), age 96, of Avon, died Thursday May 8, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Skilled Nursing Facility in Avon, Ohio following an extended illness. Mrs. Riegelsberger was born April 29, 1907 in Avon, Ohio and had been a long-time resident of Lorain County.She was a graduate of Western Reserve University where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Education. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for the Cleveland Public School System.
She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Avon.
Survivors include her son: Joseph P. Riegelsberger of Avon Lake, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward P. Riegelsberger in 1967, by her parents: Joseph Forthofer in 1941, her mother: Elizabeth Forthofer in 1940, and by brothers: Joseph Forthofer in 1965 and Gilbert Forthofer in 1977.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will be observed at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - Lorain.
