Laura L. Hummel, 73, Enjoyed decorating her home, playing the piano, guitar, and accordion
Laura L. Hummel (nee Kvapil), age 73, of Sheffield Lake, died on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, West, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 19, 1929 in Cleveland, moving to Sheffield Lake in 1962.Laura was a graduate of John Adams High School, the class of 1946.
Mrs. Hummel enjoyed decorating her home, playing the piano, organ, guitar, and accordion.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Hugh M. Hummel, son Hugh M. Hummel of Elyria, daughters, Christine L. Williams and Kathi Farabaugh, both of Lorain, four grandchildren, and sister Marilyn Horvath of Macedonia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (nee Jedlicka) Kvapil, son Neil Hummel, brother James Kvapil, and sister Mildred Djukic.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
