Louella R. Kolk, 83, Enjoyed reading, and enjoyed biographical history

Louella R. Kolk (nee Washtak), age 83, of Lakewood, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 in Lakewood Hospital after a short illness.

She was born October 6, 1919 in Lorain, Ohio and has been a Lakewood resident for the past 50 years.

Mrs. Kolk graduated from Vermilion High School in 1937 and Spencerian Business School in Cleveland (presently Dyke Business School). She worked as a Bookkeeper/Secretary for Reagan Construction Company in Cleveland for over 25 years, retiring in 1985.

She attended St. James Catholic Church, Lakewood. She enjoyed reading and had an interest in history, especially biographical history.

She is survived by a nephew, Lon Washtak of Maumee, Ohio, and a niece Dayle Noll of North Ridgeville, Ohio.

Preceding her in death were her husband Raymond Kolk, parents Carl and Magdeline (nee Pschola) Washtak, and brother Raymond Washtak.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 13, 2003 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. The Rev. Father Steven Blum, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
