Clarence C. Belcore Jr., 71, US Army Veteran, current president of the Vermilion Golden Agers
Clarence C. "Bud" Belcore Jr., age 71, of Wakeman, died Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Lakewood Hospital following a short illness. He was born on December 9, 1931 in Pennsylvania and has lived in Wakeman for over 30 years. He also lived in Cleveland and Brookpark.He worked as a Truck Driver for Dohrn Trucking Company, later Known as Hall Trucking, for many years, retiring while in his 50's. He was the current president of the Vermilion Golden Agers and a member of Amvets Post 22, VFW Post 7576, and American Legion Post 397, all in Vermilion. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his stepdaughters Myrrhis "Dolly" Fierst of Westlake, and Rive Lee of Cleveland; stepsons George Paskert of Cleveland and Chris Paskert of Seven Hills; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife Helen Belcore in September of 2001 and parents, Clarence Sr. and Frona Belcore.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 20, 2003 from 2-4 PM and 6:00 PM until time of services at 8:00 PM at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio 44089. Veteran's Honors will be presented by the Vermilion Veterans Council at 7:00 PM.
