Rosa Illiff DuPerow, 86, Enjoyed gardening, visiting Nursing Homes, and raising German Shepherds
Rosa Illiff DuPerow "Rose" (nee Flowers), 86, of Vermilion died Sunday, May 18, 2003 in Kingston of Vermilion. She was born August 6, 1916 in Richmond, Virginia.She worked in the Vermilion Post Office as a cleaning lady. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion, where she sang in the choir. She lived in Volunteer Bay and enjoyed gardening and visiting Nursing Homes. She had also enjoyed raising German Shepherds with her husband.
She is survived by her friends, Minnie May Wells of Pasadena, FL and Caren Whitten of Colorado. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert DuPerow in 1971, and Parents F.S. Flowers and Nellie (nee Deacon) Flowers.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 21, 2003 from 3-6 PM at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM, at Lakeview Baptist Church, 591 Ferndale Ave., Vermilion. The Reverend Ed Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery, Avon.
