Thomas G. Davis, 52, US Army Veteran, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting Indian artifacts

Thomas G. Davis, age 52, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born on September 29, 1950 in Logan, West Virginia. He has been Vermilion resident for the past 25 years, moving from West Virginia.

He retired from Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake where he worked as a welder. He was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in West Virginia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, collecting Indian artifacts, and gardening.

He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his sons: Brian Davis of San Francisco, CA, Gregory Davis of Mayfield Heights, daughters: Sarah Davis of Mayfield Heights, Lindsey Davis of Vermilion, Julianne Davis of Mayfield Heights, granddaughters, Bailey Allen, Kennedy Allen and Riley Allen, his mother Beatrice (nee Watts) Davis of Henlawson, West Virginia, sisters, Ann Michalek of Springsboro, PA and Donna Bell of Logan, West Virginia.

Preceding him in death was his father Frank J. Davis, brother Donald Davis and granddaughter Angel Davis.

Friends may call Thursday, May 22, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio, where services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2003 at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Ed Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Avon. The Vermilion Veteran's Council will conduct military honors.
