Veronica M. Krueck, 82, Enjoyed baking, crafts, sewing, traveling, and playing cards

Photo of Veronica M. Krueck Veronica M. Krueck (nee Micklos), 82, of Amherst died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at her daughter's home in Amherst after a lengthy illness.

She was born February 21, 1921 in Lorain and had resided in Amherst for the past 8 years, moving from Lorain where she had lived most of her life.

Before she married, she worked at Worthington Golf Ball, Western Automatic and in the cafeteria at US Steel.

Mrs. Krueck was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for 38 years and belonged to the church Marian Guild. When she moved to Amherst she became a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter.

She served on the PTA Board of Fairhome School and was also in charge of the school kitchen for eight years. She was a Girl Scout leader for six years and was a volunteer for the Lorain County Board of Elections for 10 years.

Mrs. Krueck enjoyed baking, crafts, sewing, traveling, and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughters: Janet Csincsak and Kathy Hills, both of Amherst and four granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur M. Krueck, granddaughter Kelly, parents Joseph and Mary (nee Cerny) Micklos, brothers Steve Micklos and John Micklos and sisters Mary Findley and Anna Szakats.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where the parish rosary will be prayed at a time to be announced. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David Woost, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
