Mary Anne Butler (nee Cornell), age 70, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Community Health Partners West, Lorain, Ohio. She was born September 5, 1932 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.She worked as a Registered Nurse doing home health care for Lorain and Erie Counties. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women in Vermilion. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include four sons: Owen C. Butler of Amherst, Stephen W. Butler of Grafton, Gregory B. Butler of Lorain, and Jonathan F. Butler of Vermilion, daughter Donna J. Stahlman of Monroe, MI, 8 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Valerie (nee Myszka) Cornell, her brothers: Frank, John, and Vincent Cornell, and a sister Dorothy Sullivan.
Friends may call Monday, May 26, 2003 from 5-8 PM at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. There will be a Christian Wake service at 7:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
