Patricia A. Weisheit, 69, Was a school bus driver for Sheffield Lake for 20 years

Patricia A. Weisheit, (nee Zahratka), 69, of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Thursday, May 22 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following complications of cancer. Mrs. Weisheit was born, August 17, 1933 in Mather, Pennsylvania, graduated from Lorain high School and has lived in the area for many years.

Mrs. Weisheit was a school bus driver for the Sheffield/Sheffield Lake Local Schools for 20 years and had worked as a travel agent. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the Church's Ladies Guild. She had also volunteered with New Life Hospice and the Lorain Palace Theater.

Mrs. Weisheit is survived by 4 daughters, Karen Hill of Sheffield Lake, Carol Stinnett of Sheffield Lake, Susan Weisheit of Las Cruces, NM, and Joanne Barno (Jeffry) of Sheffield Village; a son Edward J. Weisheit (Julie) of Warrensburg, MO. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward G., a sister Dorothy and her parents, Michael and Catherine (nee Kurtyka) Zahratka.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake, Monday, May 26, 2003 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. Prayer service at the funeral home, Tuesday, May 27 at 9:15 AM followed by the mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 521 Harris Rd., Sheffield Lake at 10:00 AM. Fr. Stephen Shields of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to the Church.
