Mary Emma Grugle, 96, Enjoyed gardening, knitting and ceramics

Mary Emma Grugle (nee Finch) - 96 of Phoenix, AR, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away, Monday May 26 at the Largo Medical Center, Largo FL following as short illness. Mrs. Grugle was born, August 10, 1996 in Yorksire England, had lived in the area from the early 1930's to 1963 and then lived in Phoenix until moving to Largo, FL, one year ago, where she made her home with her daughter.

She was a homemaker, a member of Creighton Christian Church, Phoenix, did hospital volunteer work as well as volunteered at the Blind Center of Phoenix. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and ceramics.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Jacobson of Largo, FL., 6 grandchildren, Michael Jacobson, Kimberly Schleicher, Karen Davis, Terry Kavula, Kathi Gentile and Kevin Solt; 4 great grandchildren; Mathew and Jeremy Davis, Allison Schleicher, Gabrielle Gentile and a sister Nellie Moran in England. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry (1963) and a daughter Connie Solt.

A graveside service will be Saturday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m. in Elmhurst Park Cemetery, 32787 Detroit Rd, Avon. Rev. John Butchko of the Avon United Methodist Church will officiate. Arrangements are by the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Avon Lake.
